Course Description
This course explains how software development organizations can adopt
all or parts of the Rational Unified Process®. Using examples and
exercises, students learn to evaluate an organization and tailor the
process. Additionally, the course provides techniques for introducing
process improvement in a staged manner.
Objectives
Upon completion of the course, participants should
be able to:
- Assess an organization before process implementation
- Configure the process for a specific organization or project
- Describe typical customizations of the process for various types of projects and organizations
- Describe typical training and mentoring resources necessary to support implementation of the Rational Unified Process
- Customize and extend the on-line process
- Describe how to support the process with automated tools
- Define an implementation of Rational Unified Process for an organization
- Make a risk list for an implementation project
