This must be Ton's first birthday on 01-Apr-1964. On the back of the picture only "April 1964' was written. This picture is taken in Oldenzaal (The Netherlands), Ton's birth place. |

Soccer team at elementary school (class 6). We played at an annual tournament between elementary schools at the Quick soccer fields in Oldenzaal. Our team was renamed as "Benfica". Ton kneels in front row, second from the right. |

Ton practicing his DJ-ing at home (Rembrandt Street). With just one turn table (Philips), his first microphone (Sony) and a cassette tape deck (Philips) his first virtual radio programs were made in his bed room. In 1978 he already started as a DJ at the age of 15 in a club in Oldenzaal ('t Siepelke). |

Age: 16 |
Ton plays trumpet in one of the many groups he played in. In this case he plays for the Spanvöggel band. They were part of a carnaval organization with the same name. They were located in Berghuizen, with is the southern part of Oldenzaal were Ton grew up. |

Summer
1981
Age: 18 |
Ton performs as a DJ during the local Oldenzaal street fest called "n Boeskool is Lös". Here he is caught on camera with his uncle (Gerard Olde Kalter) who ran a pirate radio station in Oldenzaal for many years. The DJ booth was promoting the local record store (in the background) Jos Pierik in the Groote Street. The equipment was made available by Ton's uncle. |
