Pictures of Big White ski weekend (Fr 04-Feb-2000 / Su 06-Feb-2000)

Jennifer Mitchell (kudos for her) organized a great weekend of skiing with a group of IT colleagues from Weyerhaeuser Company. We left Vancouver on Friday 04-Feb-2000 at 5 PM (from the BCIT parking lot where the bus was waiting for us) and we were back in Vancouver at Sunday 06-Feb-2000 at 10.30 PM. We stayed at the Coastal Hotel at the Big White ski village (near Kelowna in British Columbia, Canada). We had GREAT FUN and it was an unforgettable weekend ... and remember, that one time ... at ski-camp (inside joke)?

This page has first been edited on Su 06-Feb-2000 right upon arrival in Vancouver and has been modified a few times until the date/time shown at the bottom of the page. The stories for the photo's are not complete yet, so stay tuned. Jennifer's pictures where added on 09-Feb-2000. Unfortunately her second film never winded in the camera and has therefore not been developed. Click on each individual picture for a larger image.

Ready to go. 04-Feb-2000 16.46 Almost ready to leave to Kelowna. Our stuff was loaded onto the Greyhound bus which drove us to Kelowna. We left at 5 PM (sharp) and arrived in Kelowna around 10.30 PM ... after the necessary sanitary stops, smoke breaks and food/drink stops.

Ready for the big day

 06-Feb-2000 Gary Lum is ready for a high speed experience. A few times the speed was a bit too high, eh?
Cool view of the mountain and the fog 06-Feb-2000 Day 2 (Sunday) was foggy at the lower part of the mountain, but once we were above the clouds the view was breath taking. Like here at the top of the Alpine T-Bar.
