JAVA Virtual Machine

What if you don't see our main page properly?

Certain parts of our web site use JAVA code, like the buttons on the main page. These buttons become visible by using a so called JAVA Virtual Machine, a product by SUN Microsystems. This JAVA Virtual machine used to be embedded in Internet Explorer until version 6.0 came out. This means that older versions of IE will still process the JAVA code properly.

As of Internet Explorer 6.0 the JAVA Virtual Machine is no standard part of Internet Explorer anymore. You have to install it as a separate product. In order to install JAVA VM onto your desktop computer, you can either download the JAVA VM from here, or you can look for the latest version at SUN Microsystem's web site. Below are both options (1 and 2) to install the program. Just choose an option, click on the link and follow the instructions for installation. The 3rd option will bring you to our simplified JAVA free menu.

  1. j2re-1_4_2_05-windows-i586-p-iftw.exe (1.4 Mb. - posted on 23-Jul-2004)
  2. http://java.com
  3. Our alternative, simplified main menu without JAVA
