17-May-2012/18-May-2012: Today Ton’s parents were visiting for 2 days. We had a long weekend due to Ascension Day.

Tu 15-May-2012: Today ING’s new Dutch “main sponsor” tv commercial for supporting the Dutch Soccer team for the European Championships was launched at our ING office in Amsterdam. The title song “Samen” (Together) by Rene Froger was also introduced at this event. Rene was present to sing his song live on stage for our colleagues. Ton’s office is located in this building. Our apologies for the poor picture quality due to the built-in phone camera.

Mother’s Day
13-May-2012: Danique sang a special lovely Mother’s Day song to Sjoukje at her bed this morning. She had practiced the song at school. Then she gave mum her presents and helped unpacking them.
Danique’s stroller sold
12-May-2012: Today we sold Danique’s stroller/buggy/crib combination. The blue Quinny Speedi XL buggy with a crib, Maxi Cosi and stroller setup was posted on the internet last week.

Danique’s first diaperless night
Pampers Easy Up
07-May-2012: After 2 weeks of “dry” nights (still with diapers), tonight Danique was happy to enjoy her very first night without any diaper. She celebrated the past 14 consecutive “dry” nights with and ice ream after every succesful week. If she continues this effort for another week, she will deserve a nice present.
08-May-2012: Unfortunately the first attempt last night was not so succesful as we expected. Tonight Danique will try again.
Midweek vacation at Landal Vennenbos
Monday 30-Apr-2012 to Friday 04-May-2012: We spent a midweek vacation at Landal Vennenbos Park, Hapert (NL). Besides wine, dine, Puk & Pelle shows and swimming at the park we spent one day at Animal World in Nuenen. Click on the pictures to view larger versions.

Danique’s health update (3)
Friday 04-May-2012: During the past week Danique has coughed very frequently during the day and nights. This can’t be good and we have visited our family doctor again. This time he said he didn’t hear anything wrong about her lungs and her ear looked just fine. The coughing is a natural behaviour and he assured us that for the next few weeks nature will take care of Danique. For the next 6 weeks we should be fine.
Friday 27-Apr-2012: Although Danique’s second antibiotics treatment stopped on Monday she is still coughing. Just to be on the save side we visited our family doctor. He told us, that is Danique would not improve during the next week or 2 we should return for next steps.
Monday 23-Apr-2012: Danique’s second antibiotics treatment has now stopped because we have used all the syrup needed.
Raj and Yvonne were visiting
Th 26-Apr-2012: Raj and Yvonne (20 weeks pregnant) were visiting us from Manchester, arriving with flight KL108. Ton picked them up at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport around 4 PM. They were staying overnight to continue their trip on Friday to the north of Holland for the next days, including Queens Day. Clicking on the picture will show a larger version.
